The Longest Day

June 20, 2014 abigail Comments

Each year on the summer solstice, the Alzheimer’s Association and Alzheimer’s advocates around the world join together to raise awareness and funds for the disease. This year, on June 21st, the longest day of the year, thousands of people across the world will participate in a multitude of activities to try and spread the word about Alzheimer’s. You and your closest family and friends can join together in the fight against Alzheimer’s and raise funds to donate to the association for medical research and support groups for those families challenged with the disease. Many groups participate in walks, bake sales, music festivals, dancing and even bike rides in honor of those who battle with Alzheimer’s.

As the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, Alzheimer’s is a growing disease that still has no cure. Your efforts to raise a little money could help find the cure that could save thousands of lives each year. So wear something purple, grab your friends and go out there and fight for those who can no longer fight for themselves! To learn how to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association please click here.
