Pumpkin Decorating at Copperfield Cottage

October 24, 2014 abigail Comments

With fall in the air and Halloween right around the corner, Copperfield Cottage manager, Kristen, decided it was the perfect time for a fun-filled pumpkin decorating activity for her residents. Kristen and her caregivers brought out the arts and crafts supplies and helped reach resident paint and decorate a pumpkin to be displayed at the cottage. AutumnGrove loves when managers come up with holiday themed activities for our residents to participate in. Not only do the activities help the residents in numerous ways, but it also helps everyone in the cottage get in the holiday mood. The family members of the residents also love to see the wonderful creations beautifully showcased around the cottage.

At AutumnGrove Cottage, we strive to help our residents maintain their independence by engaging them in daily activities. The activities are designed to help maintain their social skills, physical strength, happiness and cognitive abilities. Each activity is done based on the residents’ abilities, interests and levels of skill and through this assessment we determine which activities are best for small groups or individual play.
