Dunk to End Alzheimer’s

September 19, 2014 abigail Comments

This past weekend our Champions Cottage manager, Amie, decided to throw a fundraising event for the upcoming Alzheimer’s Association walk in the northwest Houston area. Amie, her caregivers and many families from the Champions Cottage have been on a mission to raise $1000 as a team to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association for medical research and support groups for families. Every weekend there is a backyard BBQ or family hangout at the Champions Cottage, so Amie decided to stick with that theme and ordered a dunking booth to raise funds.

It was an afternoon filled with laughter and friendship while families, caregivers and even some residents each took a turn and dunked Amie in the big tub of water. As of today, the Champions Cottage team has raised $975 to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association!! The entire Northwest Houston Walk has raised a total of $89,000 and has almost 700 people signed up to walk for the cause. If you would like to join Amie’s team or would like to donate, please click HERE. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Help us in the fight to end this terrible disease. Help us remember the ones we have already lost and help us support the ones who are battling with it now. If we join forces we can all help END ALZHEIMER’S!
