The Best of 2013

December 30, 2013 developer Comments

Today I wanted to reflect on what a spectacular year 2013 has been for AutumnGrove Cottage. Early this year, in February, we launched our new blog that has been filled with amazing stories, events and photos of our cottages, residents and staff. Our top blog stories this year have been about those near and dear to AutumnGrove’s heart. Stories of our wonderful managers, our dedicated caregivers and even a poem make the list for our top three most read blog posts. A Lady’s Love for a Horse is a story of one special caregiver who wanted to share the joy of her horse with a resident. Marvelous Marilynn gives you a glimpse of an AutumnGrove manager and how much heart and soul they put into caring for our residents. AutumnGrove Cottage Prayer is a wonderful reminder for all staff at AutumnGrove of why we do what we do. We hope you all have enjoyed getting to know us a little better through our blog. Continue to follow and catch up on all the happenings inside our cottages!

Another exciting accomplishment for AutumnGrove this year was being one of the top 10 corporate teams to raise funds for the big Alzheimer’s Walk in Houston. As a group we raised over $5,000 to give to the Alzheimer’s Association for research and support groups for those families that are challenged with the disease. We are proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association and all the great things they do to help communities all over the country.

assisted living san antonio txThis November we opened our newest location in San Antonio, Texas, the Stone Oak Cottage. The Stone Oak Cottage is our second cottage in San Antonio and our 9th cottage overall. We are thrilled to extend a helping hand in the San Antonio community and to those families who battle with Alzheimer’s. To find out more information on our Stone Oak Cottage please visit the cottage web page here or call 210-853-5567.

Lastly I would like to welcome our new cottage managers! We are glad they joined the AutumnGrove family. Check back in 2014 for a story on each cottage manager.
