2015 Alzheimer’s Walk – Northwest Houston

October 2, 2015 abigail Comments

This past weekend three of our cottages, Champions, Copperfield and Humble, all participated in the Northwest Houston Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. This event is near and dear to AutumnGrove’s heart and we all love to show our support. The Alzheimer’s Association puts on the Walk to End Alzheimer’s all over the United States to help raise money for Alzheimer’s research and to help finance family support groups. People join together to walk and raise money in awareness of Alzheimer’s, which is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and there is currently no known cure.

AutumnGrove Cottage is part of the movement to help find a cure for this terrible disease. We hope that in caring for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, we can help impact those lives in a positive and uplifting fashion. Joining forces with others in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is just one way we can help out.

This year we decided to wear yellow shirts, instead of purple, because yellow represents someone who is currently caring or supporting someone with Alzheimer’s.
