AutumnGrove Cottage’s scholarship contest has been underway for the past couple of weeks and the response has been great! So far, 6 college students from across the United States have submitted essays from one of the three topics that were given to them. Those essay topics are:
~How has Alzheimer’s or dementia impacted you or your family and how have you been able to cope with it?
~Write about your passion for helping those with Alzheimer’s or dementia and why it means so much to you.
~If you had an unlimited amount of money how would you help those with Alzheimer’s? Would it be through medical research? Support programs for families? Caring for those with the disease? Or something else?
These students have been personally impacted by Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss and have poured their hearts and souls into their writing. The essays we have received so far have been exceptional and have gotten a lot of praise from our social media followers. The two essays with the most Facebook, Twitter and Google+ likes, shares, comments, etc. will win $1000 towards their college education. There is still plenty of time for students to submit an application for the scholarship. The entry deadline is June 10th, but as soon as essays are submitted they are posted to AutumnGrove’s social media.
