National Women’s Health Week is a weeklong health observance coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health. It brings together communities, businesses, government, health organizations, and other groups in an effort to promote women’s health and its importance. It also empowers women to make their health a priority and encourages them to take steps to improve their physical and mental health and lower their risks of certain diseases.
At AutumnGrove we celebrated National Women’s Health Week in honor of all of our women residents, caregivers and managers. We always strive for high quality care for all of our residents, but this week we decided to give our wonderful ladies a little extra attention. All of the ladies received manicures and pedicures along with their weekly visit to the salon to have their hair fixed. Our women residents, along with the men, participate in brain stimulating activities each day to help keep their minds sharp. All of our residents also enjoy meals specifically designed with brain enhancing foods. AutumnGrove provides a healthy lifestyle for all of our residents, but this week we wanted to honor all the beautiful women who bring such joy and love to all of the cottages.
