Avocados help to lower blood pressure and contribute to a healthy blood flow. Both of these perks are good for your brain. Avocados are high in calories so only add about a ¼ of one to one meal a day. Whole grains are a good source to reduce the risk of heart disease. Since every organ in the body is dependent on the heart functioning to its highest potential, keeping the heart healthy keeps the brain healthy. Whole grains to add to your daily diet include, oatmeal, brown rice and whole grain breads. Lastly dark chocolate, yes chocolate, is a good food to add to your daily diet to keep your brain healthy. In small moderation, dark chocolate is an excellent source of anti-oxidants and contains natural stimulants to enhance focus and concentration.
